Are you accepting new patients?

Yes! I can usually see new patients within 2-4 weeks. Please contact me so we can see if we are a good fit.

What happens during the first appointment?

After scheduling an evaluation you will receive a link to our patient portal, which is the main way we communicate. There you will find paperwork to complete prior to your appointment. At the designated appointment time, we will meet for a virtual visit. You will click on the HIPAA compliant link you received. The goal for the first appointment is to get to know one another and to come up with a treatment plan that aligns with your goals.

How often will we meet?

We will work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan to meet your needs and goals. On average, patients are seen every 1 to 3 months for medication management with brief supportive psychotherapy. Patients can be seen weekly or biweekly as needed for medication adjustments.

Do you take insurance?

We aim to provide affordable care with major insurances. Please see Insurance and Rates for a list of our currently accepted insurances.

How do I get reimbursed by my insurance for going out of network?

I can provide monthly itemized statements ("super bills") that you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. You are financially responsible for all services provided.

Are you seeing clients in person?

I am currently offering exclusively telehealth appointments in the state of Massachusetts. All you will need is a quiet space, working camera and reliable high speed internet. In person appointments coming early 2027 in the Concord, MA area. In-office visits are also conducted for all patients receiving controlled substance prescriptions as per federal laws.

What type of clients do you treat?

We treat a variety of patients ranging in age from 18 to 65. Our patients are typically highly motivated to make changes, insightful, and engaged in their treatment. We do not treat patients who self-harm, have had recent suicide attempts, have active disordered eating, psychotic disorders, struggle with substance abuse, or have had recent inpatient psychiatric hospitalizations. We believe these patients are better served within practices that can provide 24/7 coverage. We can help point you towards such practices if needed.

What is your controlled substances policy?

ADHD-Stimulants: Requests for stimulant medication must be accompanied by a formal ADHD evaluation or previous records confirming the diagnosis. If you do not have these, we can help point you towards practices that help with this assessment.

Benzodiazepines: This class of medication is generally prescribed for short-term, acute symptom management only. Due to risks of dependence and long-term side effects, we do not typically prescribe benzodiazepines for long-term daily use.

Crisis Resources

Serenity Wellness & Psychiatry does not provide 24/7 crisis services. Call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. For emergencies, call 911 or go to your nearest ER.
